We are run by a voluntary committee and employ 8 members of staff, our manager Louise Kelly and 5 fully qualified practitioners. All staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and all have up to date PVG checks in place.
I was born in Switzerland and am originally from Portugal. Growing up in a multicultural and multilingual environment sparked my love for learning different languages and exploring new cultures. I also have a big passion for traveling. My journey in childcare began in 2023, and I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to support children as they grow and learn. In 2024, I joined Leith St Andrew’s Playgroup, now Little Larch Nursery, where I continue to build my experience while creating a warm, caring environment for the children.
I have been working at Leith St Andrews for over a year, and have worked with children in various settings for over 22 years, and thoroughly love my Job! I qualified with HNC in Childcare in 1999. In my spare time I am super busy being 'Mum' to my twin boys, socialising with friends and family, crafting and being outdoors.
I have been working in childcare for 5 years now and I absolutely love it. Working with the children and helping them develop from an early age is a passion of mine and I find watching them grow up to be so rewarding. I have a little page on Facebook, The Little Gift Company, where I make all sorts of personalised gifts. I also spend lots of my time out with playgroup with family, friends and our family dog Koda.
I am the Manager at Leith St Andrews and have worked here for over 14 years. I am currently in my final year of my BA in childhood studies. Prior to working at the playgroup I worked with Edinburgh Council across various roles. Working with children and their families is just the best job ever and being able to watch the children learn, develop and grow is very special. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 5 children, family and friends and walking my pup Poppy. I also love holidays going to restaurants and the cinema.

I qualified with HNC Childhood Practice in 2017, had lots of experience in a private nursery before joining the Little Larch team in 2021. It's a pleasure to work here supporting the childrens needs , helping them achieve and learn as much as they can before going off to school. In my spare time I love nothing more than spending quality time with friends and famiily. I also have a babysitting page on facebook, NH babysitting.
